There's just something about it........ when your daughter becomes a mommy herself.
I completely expected to fall in love with the baby.... what I didn't expect was how much it tugs at my heart to see my daughter with him.
Couldn't you just eat the little guy with a spoon??? He is so sweet! I took this picture so that someday I can show it at his football banquet and say "see that big strapping guy over there??? He used to take a bath in my sink!" (He'll be so proud.....)
She is such a great mom. He can be screaming his little head off and she says something in his tiny ear.....and a small "Shhhh"....and there is silence. He responds to her voice like nobody else. Except maybe his Dad. He knows his Daddy's voice already too.
And they've had a little bit of a struggle...colic isn't fun for anyone. But she is so tender and kind and sweet with him......
He is just the most precious little boy..... and lucky to be born into so much love...
They've worked hard....planned and saved and prayed and sought God's will. Baby J has wonderful role models.
They've been blessed. And so are we.
Okay....you have to know the story behind this...and Charlene to truly appreciate it. She was sitting at the table putting on her make up and she commented that she really wasn't crazy about the purple-ish pink lipstick she got in her clinique bag. Shell said "uh...did you look to see if it was EYESHADOW you might be putting on?" Sure enough...
So now we have something more to tease her about. She's such a good sport. And fun-nee!!
Yes, of course it's the Easter Bunny! And an egg! Kendell drew it for Josh. For his first Easter. She's such a sweetheart.
Here is Josh's first Easter basket. I was so excited!I filled it with candy his Daddy likes, and some girly stuff for his mommy.

Maddie taught Uncle Hoyt about Dora and her friends. We're all about educating each other around here.

Isn't he a HANDSOME little guy?? I love him so much! And he smiled at me this weekend! A BUNCH!! The sweetest, most perfect little smile.....
Believe it or not.......this used to be "Granny's house". And I remember it when it was! Now it's this GREAT restaurant called Delgado's. Really good food. Okeene is lucky...the only other real choice was a Pizza Inn.
One of the coolest things is this little bit of decor. It's the brands from local farmers. If you've been around much at all, you recognize most names.
